The Process

The planning process begins by documenting the Purchase Region’s position from an economic development perspective. During this phase the consulting team will review available materials, visit with knowledgeable sources, and conduct a targeted analysis of relevant economic and demographic trends.  

An analysis of the region’s occupational structure, coupled with an understanding of regional assets, will provide the foundation for target industry recommendations. In addition, the consulting team will inventory educational programs that support leading occupations within the target industries. 

The final deliverable will include recommendations for supporting existing business, fostering entrepreneurship, and attracting new industry to the region.
